If you sell in Spain, you need a tool that measures from Spain, not just in Spanish. Semantico is built for that. You pick Spain as the country and the language separately. Then we ask ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini the buying questions in your categories from Spain, several times each, and compare you with the stores you compete with there.
Where you are and who you reach: Spain as a country, not just a language
To see what a shopper in Spain sees, the tool has to ask from Spain. Picking "Spanish" isn't enough. Spanish is also spoken in Mexico, Argentina and the US, and AI doesn't recommend the same stores in each country.
Why the country changes the answer
When an assistant searches the web to answer, it takes into account where the question comes from. The same question, in the same language, can return stores that don't ship to Spain, prices in another currency or competitors you never come across.
Measure that way and your recommendation share doesn't describe your market. You might show up rarely and it isn't a problem, or show up often in answers your shopper never sees.
How to check before you choose a tool
Ask these five questions of any tool, including us:
- Are country and language two separate settings? You should be able to choose Spain as the country and, separately, the language. If there's only a language picker, you're not measuring Spain.
- How does the country reach the assistant? Ask them to explain how each assistant is told where the question comes from. And ask to see a real answer with that setup.
- Do the questions say "in Spain"? Your customer doesn't add "in Spain" to every question. If that's the only way the tool can place itself, it's measuring a question nobody asks.
- Who does it compare you with? Your share should be calculated against the stores you compete with in Spain, not a mix of countries.
- Does it measure through the API or in the app? Both are legitimate, but they don't give exactly the same answers. Ask which one they use.
How we set it up at Semantico
- You pick country, language and categories. Each combination is measured separately. Your dashboard shows the country and language you're measuring in.
- Spain is sent as a location, not as text. We pass the country to ChatGPT's and Claude's web search, and on Gemini we place the search in Spain.
- The questions don't name the country. We write them the way a shopper asks them, and the country goes in the setup. So the answer is the one someone asking from Spain would get.
- We compare you with your market. Your competitors are the stores AI recommends in Spain in your categories.
- More than one country: we also measure in the US and the UK, in English, and other European countries on request. If you sell in several, the Enterprise plan measures 2 or more markets.
How we get answers that matter to your shopper
Measuring from Spain only helps if the questions are your shopper's questions too.
- Real buying questions. We use the questions people ask before buying in your categories, like "which padel rackets would you recommend for a beginner?", plus any you want to add.
- With web search on. So the assistant answers with what it finds today, not only what it remembers.
- Several times per question. The same question can give different answers from one run to the next, so we only flag changes larger than that normal variation.
- Stores and sources. We record which stores the assistant names, in what position and which pages it cites. Those pages tell you where to act.
One caveat: we measure through each assistant's API. The app your customer uses may give slightly different answers.

Common questions
What are the alternatives to Profound or Peec AI for measuring an online store's AI visibility in Spain?
Semantico is an alternative built for online stores in Spain. You pick Spain as the country, not just Spanish as the language, we measure ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini by product category and compare you with the stores in your market. You can try it with a free audit.
Is choosing Spanish as the language enough?
No. The language doesn't set the country, and AI recommends different stores in Spain, Mexico or the US. Check that the tool lets you choose Spain as the location.
How do I know the tool really asks from Spain?
Ask them to explain how they pass the country to each assistant and to show you a real answer with that setup. Be wary if the only way to set the location is to write "in Spain" in the question.
Can I measure in more than one country?
Yes. We measure in Spain, the US and the UK, each country separately, and other European countries on request. The Enterprise plan measures 2 or more markets.
Do you measure the same thing the customer sees in the ChatGPT app?
We measure through the APIs, with web search on and from your country. The app may give slightly different answers.
Do you need access to my store?
No. We only use your public website, your visible product data and your robots.txt.
